Zap your senses with Electro music!

Electro or electro funk or electro boogie, was a gift given to us during the decline of disco in the 1970’s. Zapp & Rogers, one of the pioneers of electro, began to experiment with talk boxes, a musical device which allows the musician to modify the sounds and voices of the instruments and voices of the singers, to distort it, prolong it, loop it or create ‘electronic’ sounds. One of the first songs of electro, would be Planet Rock which was produced by Afrika Bambaataa which was considered to be the big start up of electro genre. By the 1980’s the electro genre had influences from funk, as we can see now days, there are many other influences such as, pop, rock, and even RnB. Electro would seem to be a mold, it can be shaped into something beautiful, and meld together with many other genres.

Currently, electro can be broken into, electro-pop, electro-house, pure electro, progressive electro, electro RnB (Japanese pop or Korean pop), and electro-funk. Electro seems to be a constant growing genre, and as we all can see know we can find it almost anywhere. So let the music flow through you, and enjoy.
